Influencial Designers Discuss “When Ugly Meets Lovely”

What makes a design “beautiful”?  Ugly?  Why do consumers choose one product over another based on appearance and styling?

As part of a viral campaign for the Nissan Cube, Nissan of Europe has asked that same series of questions to several influential Design minds.  Hosted by Design Museum director Deyan Sudjic and Nissan Europe Design Director Alfonso Albaisa, the series of videos brings together some of the Design world’s most respected and well-known people to discuss how designs can sometimes polarize opinion.

The above video is based on the London “symposium” and brings in product designer Richard Seymour and graphic designer Morag Myerscough to discuss/debate.

For more videos, click here for the Design Museum’s video page.
