Opel Insignia Still Coming to U.S.?

naiastemplate-1

On this mornings commute here in Detroit I passed a badge covered Opel Insignia.  This vehicle was rumored to come over as the next Saturn Aura.  But we all know what’s up with Saturn for the future.  Could they still be getting a new vehicle or will it come over as a Buick like the one from China?  Hmmmm what is the General up to?

With Opel being up for grabs this could even become a Chrysler with the Fiat interest.  Think about that.

Hit the jump for some other images of the Insignia….

This car is really nicely done.  Nothing new or exciting, but very tasteful and refined.

While I was in Germany I saw the estate version which was very attractive.  Too bad no one in the US ever buys station wagons.

2Time will tell if we will ever get this car.  Who knows if GM will even own Opel in a few weeks.

Don’t care what badge they stick on it, I want to get the OPC / VXR and rip those stupid badges off and put the Opel ones back on it anyways! Definitely the General’s coolest brand anyways.
