Dell’s ReGeneration Design Competition
Our good friends at Dell are holding a Green design competition for computer technology.
These competitions, similar to those by Microsoft, and automotive OEMs, are great ways for students and professionals to get truly creative… and possibly win some cash in the process.
Dell is inviting everyone to try their hand at “design concepts and innovations for technology products that demonstrate refreshed approaches and responsible solutions for green computing technologies.”
The prizes total up to $160,000. For more info, visit: http://www.dell.com/DesignReGeneration

Before last week I thought the Chrysler minivans looked pretty good. Then I participated in a craftsmanship review and boy did my thoughts change. The interior is absolutely horrible. The surfaces and materials produce the coldest, most unfriendly interior for a vehicle made for the family.
I thought the exterior looked good, but then the stork brought a new brother to town. It came from the mother known as Volkswagen and they called him Routan.

If anyone is looking to bail out of the auto industry or just looking for a job in general, here is one for you…
Continuum is a design and innovation consultancy. We are a group of design strategy, brand experience and product innovation experts.
That sums it up pretty well. I personally know some of the guys there and have met a couple others. Some brief conversations tell me it is a great place to work. They are well known in th product design world due to major clients and numerous awards. Check out their site and see if you qualify for any of their global positions.
We seek individuals who possess the confidence to push limits, the maturity to step back when appropriate, and a passion for design solutions intended to delight the user.
If you have any job leads, feel free to send us some info and we’ll post it. We know it’s tough out there so we’ll help you out whenever possible. Later

Yet again, here is another Ridgeline fighter. This time it is GMC’s turn to take a stab at it. Dodge, Mitsubishi and recently Toyota took a turn and have done nothing with it, could GM actually follow through? They did with the Camaro.
The funny thing is that the Ridgeline doesn’t sell that well. Of course it could be the styling that is stunting its growth. Is there a market to go after? Must be since companies keep trying to copy it. Question is, who will be the “second” to build their concept and show Honda how it should have been done.
