T-23 Days…

canon sd-1000

Looking for that “just right” tool that designers all need? Well, a digitally camera could be right up your alley.

As part of our countdown until Santa’s Birthday (or something like that) we’ve included an essential tool that all designers could not afford to be without. At at the $175 price tag, neither should you.

sd1000

This little beauty, measuring smaller than that deck of cards we always use to measure things, comes in at a robust 7.1 megapixels. Featuring a 3x optical zoom with settings available for all distances up close and far away, this little elf (ELPH) is the perfect stocking stuffer.

Utilizing the prevalent SD memory card format, it ALSO accepts SDHC cards… which for the rest of us means more card space to fill up (upwards of 4-8GB).

Want to take that perfect shot of your car and/or product mock-up? The SD1000 comes with a great flash and great light sensitivity. The resolution tops out at an impressive 3,072 x 2,304 and the video capabilities include AVI format and 60 frames per second.

One of the best features (and the one that sold me on it, actually) is the super-duper 2.5″ lcd screen, which is extremely bright and visible.

Click here to pick one up for that special Designer in your life.
