Finding masked vehicles on the road in Michigan certainly isn’t a rare thing. In this case, we came across what we believe to be the new Cadillac STS due to the body-side aesthetics and proportions. If you have a clue as to what this might be, let us know!

Another shot after the jump.

Robocar2057: Mazda’s Motonari RX

Category : Concept Car, Design

Mazda Motonari

Upon reviewing this concept, we Fetishers have come to the realization of how the initial design meeting went…

Manager: “So, Designer… did you come up with a revolutionary car design today?”

Designer: “Yessir Mr Manager Sir! It’s going to revolutionize mobility!”

Manager: “Were you able to create it using as many complicated forms and shapes in Maya as you possibly could?”

Designer: “Of course, Sir! I even applied as many uber-glossy materials as I could!”

Manager: “Were you able to fit many complicated and unpronounceable words in the design presentation?”

Designer: “Yes Sir! I was even able to utilize an unbelievable amount of Photoshop filters in the final boards!”

Manager: “Ship it!”

Well, maybe not. But you can definitely understand our bewilderment when we ran across this concept and noticed how it visually mimicked Megatron from the Transformers movie.

Robocar2057: Honda’s – 1/4 – One to the Power of Four

Category : Concept Car, Design

In the world of convoluted vehicle names comes a new worthy entrant: the Honda – 14 - One to the Power of Four. Now, for the non-math buffs out there what it means is that this ONE vehicle can transform into FOUR different modes of transportation based on the situation.

The idea is fairly simple, and actually somewhat down-to-earth and not overly original: carpooling lanes + solar power = happy people. The addition of which is the ability to have this Akira-like vehicle transform into your favorite GoBot.

Follow the jump to read the official release.

Oh, the porcelain God, how we worship you. You make us feel better in so many ways. Whether it is 30 minutes after we leave the cafeteria or a long night of drinking, you are always there for us, sitting waiting patiently for the next customer.

You are probably wondering, what does this have to do with car design? Well interior designers, read below for the next content you are going to have to design around. This is just in time since we have found out most Americans spend more than a couple of hours a day behind the wheel. That morning coffee waits for no one…..

Motive Magazine has just released a ton photos of the new STI. Exterior, interior, technology, and design pics fill the gallery. I love seeing the sketches because they always show a little more of the designers intent. I pulled my favorites from the gallery and I’ll point out some details I couldn’t bring myself to realize when I first saw the car. Check out below for more sketches and some more positive points about the design.

What has Mini done. No longer going to be alone in the premium compact market. Soon there will be the BMW 1 Series and then the Metroproject, which I am sure is no “project.” Consumers are going small but still want that high class image. The OEM’s are answering.

This Audi is quite a departure from their norm and yet still the same old Audi. Let me explain…
