Peugeot’s Flux (Capacitor)
Several months, 4000 entries, 87 countries, and 10 finalists later, the winner of Peugot’s Design Competition has been brought to life at the Frankfurt Auto Show. And in the honor of our continued LeMons coverage and the homage that Dshed’s team is doing to the original Marty Mobile, it seemed only right that we report on a vehicle named the “Flux“. Read more
1 commentVW: Time to look up!
Looks like a smile, doesn’t it? VW sure thinks it’ll put a smile on the faces of European buyers in the market for a small car.
It’s not necessarily the size that matters in this little “bugger”, it’s the fact that VW went back to its design roots: rear engine, baby! Read more
No commentsLeMon’s Build part 2
So here is Part 2 of the build. I’ll call this phase…Color and Trim. Time to theme out the Poopra. Here is a fancy concept sketch of the final design. Sorry Doc, no disrespect, but we are doing our best with what we have to work with. Which is ten dollars cash, some coins and a lot of empty beer cans. Oh and the White Castle Slider boxes. They will come in handy somewhere.

Hello World, I’m the Mark X ZiO
Toyota has unveiled the Mark X ZiO, the production vehicle that evolved out of the FSC concept from 2005.
One word: Non-offensive
The vehicle is essentially a grown up Matrix and yet seems to borrow a lot of its styling cues from the Mazda CX-series CUV. It’s proportions lie somwehere between a sedan and wagon, although smaller than the Camry.
Let’s have a look at the vehick.

Lemon’s Build…part 1
Well the race is almost here and the car is almost complete. I am going to take the next couple of days leading up to the race to show you the cars development from a 1984 Toyota Poopra to an 88mph Time Machine. Part 1 shows the steps that they left out in the movie. Doc had to start somewhere.

Favorite Cartoon Car?
Motive Magazine.com posted their picks for the top 10 cartoon cars. Many of them were expected, but the Gadget Mobile from inspector gadget and the Simpson’s Canyonero were a little unexpected or forgotten. It is a fun top 10 list that makes you think back to the good ol days.
Check it out here.
Lambo Hotness……uh, No
Here is one extreme and edgy Lambo. Not sure I car too much for the front end treatment, but the paint is sweet. The Lambo’s have some elegance to their taught forms, but these “F-22 ” inspired hard egdes disrupt the clean and simple lines of this supercar. It looks like one of those cheap ass body kits an 18 year old puts on his Mercury Cougar. I guess when you pay over a million bucks for a car you just tell yourself that it is sweet, and with this price tag it surely makes up for any…..uhum…shortcomings.
1 commentSporting a 660 horsepower, 6.5 liter V12 and F-22 Raptor-inspired styling, the Lamborghini Reventón (around $1.4 million) is the most powerful and expensive Lamborghini ever. Along with a composite carbon fiber exterior, the Reventón packs features like carbon brake disks, heatproof LEDs for rear indicator lights, black aluminum wheels with carbon fin accents, and other reminders that the 100 folks who were lucky enough to get one are driving a masterstroke of exotic automotive design. thanks Uncrate
