Kicker Crossfire

kicker1

After going to SEMA last year I saw a lot of over the top vehicles displaying there latest gadget or accessory. These companies would let shops like Orange County Choppers design their vehicle. Usually making tasteless design decisions. (Sorry OCC, but I do watch the show, very entertaining) Check out this Kicker Crossfire that was at the Dream Cruise last weekend.

kicker2

Here is a Chrysler Crossfire done by Kicker that was at the Dream Cruise. Paint graphics are a little much but overall I think they incorporated some styling cues from the original car into their interior redo that worked out rather well.

kicker3

Usually the rear speakers/sub look like they are floating in a pool of molten lava/fiberglass. For some reason organic forms are popular in speaker mounting. Perhaps better for the acoustics in some way? I am not sure, let me know. They did a clean job here and I even like the extreme Wolverine claws that lay out protecting the speakers from beneath the glass.

kicker4

Similar evidence that Wolverine was laid to rest are found in the cockpit as well. Kicker or whoever built it paid nice attention to the details and used a sophisticated color palette you pull off a sweet show car. One last detail are the rims. Does anyone know where I can find these. I hope multiple materials/finishes on rims are the future. I am getting so sick of chrome!

i believe those are Davin wheels. from one of there older lines. Davin is a wheel company started by a fellow industrial designer with some sound financial backing.

You’re right I just looked them up. No cost though. They take their detail to another level for wheel design.
