Who the hell is MRT?!?!?!

mrt.jpg

So there is a certain industrial parkway I like to visit on weekdays as well as weekends. It has a perfect 90 degree turn, with a little cul-de-sac runoff area absolutely perfect for drifting the M coupe, like the hillbilly I am. I mean, it even has a slight off camber surface that puts the car sideways as if I was driving on butter (nice).

So, back to the title, who the hell is MRT?? I come to this question, not because of the name itself, but because of all the hot Ford cars that are always sitting out in front of this building. Time and time again I pass, and there just seems to be no end to the hot cars that sit out in front of this place. What really caught my eye was a Ford Fusion that appeared to have an intercooler on it……… Not only that it was running some huge rims, with no wheel gap, I mean the stance is DEAD NUTS ON! To add to the perfect stance and the turbo, were a custom body kit, that looks (dare I say it) better then stock.

All of this hotness comes just 1 day after I hade a 2 hour long conversation with some designer friends that AMERICAN DESIGN IS MAKING A COMEBACK!!! I drive a BMW, and I love it, the look, feel, fit and finish are great. It drives like a sports car should drive, and is reliable. With that said, the only reason I drive a BMW, is because there are no American cars that I can lust after. I hope you understand, with MRT, and Ford, there may be some hope.

So Finally I get to it……. MRT ( Mustang Racing Technology )
MRT is so much more then just Mustang parts. Please check out their website to see their full product line.

What I would like to get at is the CarDesignFetish.com is all about design. MRT has set itself apart in my mind because its parts and accessories all fit together to complete a great finished product. If the Fusions and Mustangs that they produce are a glimpse of the future of MRT, I say bring it on. We need more companies out there that can not only engineer great performance products, but make them look good in the process. Who knows if these two companies keep working together to bring us more great products, I might be calling myself a Ford man in the future ( you never know ).

This is just an intro; I hope to do a more in-depth feature of the actual cars in the future, so until then, you will have to make due with my pictures and their website info.

Below is MRT’s hood for the Fusion, it really completes the kit. You can actually buy this entire kit directly from MRT, check their website.
