Sprechen Sie Sexy?

The German Bulldogs at VW have officially done it. They’ve managed to create an orgasm at 325 kph.

VW GTI W12-650

The VW Golf GTI W12-650 concept vehicle might very well be the perfect boy-racer. We can babble on about the highly detailed stat sheet of technology under its hood (650 bhp, 6.0-liter bi-turbo W12 engine) but we’ll focus on the design aesthetics of it… because it is just so damn sexy!

The first thing we notice about this beauty is that it is slammed. And we mean SLAMMED. Thanks to its 19″ wheels and 16cm wider body, the GTI appears to hover ever so slightly off the ground. The modified lower fascia goes well beyond the typical cladding given to sporty concept upgrades. The entire lower half of the vehicle is expertly done. The intakes, although over-the-top (in a good way) are not gaudy. The front grin appears as if the Vee Dub is hitting several G’s of force, pulling its face back in that magical way that fighter pilots develop a perma-smile after Top Gun-like maneuvers.

The side vents live in the fantastically typical VW “squircle” (squared-circle) graphic. By tastefully utilizing the black color to signify their location, the vents are harbingers of speed yet to come from this road-burning imp.

In fact, the entire vehicle appears to be designed like a vacuum: sucking in the competition and spitting out Civics in its wake. Even the rear graphic elements (although pseudo-Ferrari) are expertly designed. Enjoy the dual pairs of chrome-tipped tailpipes amidst a sea of black… by the time you realize at what you are watching, the Vee Dub has already passed you by.

Volkswagen… Build it!
