When Pininfarina is on, they are really fuckin on (yes this hotness deserves the F word).

One car I have been lusting over of the past year is the Pininfarina-designed Ferrari P4/5. I do not know how they do it, but way to 1-up your customer (in the case Ferrari). There is a rare occasion that a styling house can actually do a better design then the original OEM. Yeah yeah Hamann, Alpina, AMG, etc. tune cars and “Kit” them, but what was created here was essentially an entirely new car over the bones of a Ferrari Enzo. The car was created as a one off fantasy of a very wealthy collector by the name of James Glickenhaus, an American collector with a yen for the legendary racing cars of the Sixties. Talk about masturbating in front of your friends, this car is the ultimate penis extender. However you look at it, I do not think you can argue with the subtle and timeless beauty of the design, proportion, and feeling this car exudes. Bravo Mr. Glickenhaus, for your self importance has given birth to a thing of beauty!

This car has a “new future” look to it that keeps looking fresh. I can not word the styling any better then the studio has, so I will just include it. (Excerpt from Pininfarina Press Release) The sleek lines of the vehicle, characterized by a soft muscular touch, took shape on the body – made entirely of carbon fiber. The tapered profile of the nose highlights both its aerodynamic function and the car’s new look; the central body is dominated by the single-shell windscreen, while the car is accessed via two butterfly type doors. The rear features powerful sides with the embedded teardrop type transparent rear window which also acts as engine cover and from which ceramic-coated exhaust tips peep out, as on racing cars of the Sixties. “The entire vehicle – stresses Ken Okuyama, Director of Pininfarina Styling – expresses elegance and fluidity with the clear-cut, uncluttered lines that are typical of Pininfarina’s style.

Considerable attention has been dedicated to aerodynamics with continuous testing at the Pininfarina Aerodynamic and Aero-acoustic Research Center of Grugliasco (Turin, Italy) in an effort to reach the highest levels of performance combined with perfect functionality of all the appendices integrated in the body of the vehicle.
