Hyundai QarmaQ Concept

hyundai1.jpg

Hey there, I just wanted to put some thoughts and info out there about this vehicle, enjoy.

This Crossover Coupe was debuted at the recent Geneva show. QarmaQ was a joint venture with GE Plastics. GE was able to develop 3 dimensional surfaces that could not be achieved with conventional metal and glass. My favorite thing about this design is the integration of the interior and exterior design. It is one of a few vehicle designs to really address the issue.

Hyundai has shown versions of this front clip design on many concept cars….I think it is time to implement it onto their production vehicles and establish a design language. They have had long enough to search one out. Overall it is a very muscular looking vehicle with soft
surfaces; not hard edged, intimidating, in your face design like we have been seeing lately.

The interior is very sophisticated looking with flowing surfaces and great details. The driver has their own place in the interior. All of the intrefaces are directed toward the driver and even the seat is a different color showing who is in control. The second row seats look as if they oozed from the hard trim. Very nicely integrated.

I just wanted to highlight this vehicle since I didn’t hear much about in way of the press. Hyundai seems to always have strong concept cars, now they just need to grow some and put them into production.

cdF has a Fetish for sketches so here ya go…..
