Nissan Skyline is here…..

February 09th, 2007 | Category: Concept Car, Production Car

And it looks very close to the concept (GT-T Pronto) that was shown in 2005 at NAIAS. The production version (in my opinion) looks better then the concept.

Skyline spied

Here are some images of the concept, nothe the invisible A-Pillar look, they captured this very well on the spied version.

Here is the origional rendering. I love going back to some origional images, to see how closr the final product came to the vision.

Note the sketch is pretty close to the spied version. This car is really exciting, I feel that it will really push the front engine GT catagory in a new direction, this car looks so new and fresh, even aqfter 2 years of waiting to see production versions. One thing you can say it is no Honda Civic, or Acura No SeX (NSX), you will not mistake this car for anything other then itself.

For those of you who don’t already know about this site, I highly recommend taking a look.  It has been around for a while, and while I’ll admit it is a bit of a “plug” for a very good friend of mine who created it, but it also happens to be one of the best sites of it’s kind on the NET.  Enjoy…

Product Review 2007 Dodge Nitro

February 06th, 2007 | Category: Production Car

Nitro Image

I am happy to say Jonny Lieberman has a simmilar ballz to the wall writing style that I do, so this will almost sound like I wrote it, sort of, but not really…… May I also add, that I visited the Dodge Dealarship in Plymouth MI. to test drive a new Nitro ( mind you I drive a bimmer, much prefer their tact at the dealership) and I thought I had just entered a carnival. The floor was stained with oil, the salesmen and women knew nothing about the vehicles, and twice they gave me a vehicle for a test drive with the fuel light on. Twice gave me the keys to the wrong vehicle, and just treated me like poopie. Needless to say I did not buy the Dodge Nitro I went in to look at.

Swiped from Jalopnik

Exterior Appearance ****
As ungainly as it is, I like the way the Nitro looks. The high belt line and gun-slit windows scream “Don’t look at me while you’re looking at me.” The busy front is its worst side, but at least the hodgepodge of tough-guy cues is unique. The over-rendered wheel arches and acres of metal adorning the sides are the Nitro’s visual strong points, though I must admit to finding the rear of pleasant to look at. A feat, I should mention, that hasn’t been pulled off in an SUV since DCX shuttered the Cherokee. If you squint, you can see a Jeep lurking beneath. I even liked the 20″ chrome-a-tone wheels, as they caused another friend of mine to ask, “Is that a mini Hummer?” One more thing. Why “Nitro”? With looks like these, I would have called it the “Ram Wagon.”

BMW 1 & 2 series???

February 06th, 2007 | Category: Concept Car, Production Car

For all you Bimmer Lovers out there. Here are some spy shots of the new Ummm Ummmm. 1 or 2 series, convert, coup, or what ever. What I personally feel is that this car will be available in Coupe and Convert. Remember the lovely M Clown Shoe of the E36 erra, I say just bring us the Hot hatch, and give us our new Clown Shoe to love.

It seems no one outside of BMW really knows what is in the works For the new BMW launch of it’s 1 /2 series ( The number is still being discussed by BMW top Brass. ) Wouldn’t that be nice if the Twin Turbo 335’s motor made it’s way into the new US bound 1 series.

I am not going to bother with credits, they are across these photos.

Can’t wait to see the new Pontiac Bonneville…….. I mean G8

February 06th, 2007 | Category: Production Car

Here are the Official Leaked Press Pics, for your eyes only.

Thanks to our friends at g8power.com

Pontiac G8 1

g82.jpg

This is basically a Rebadged Holden, but we will not hold that against you GM, great way to platform share.

My only question is why not Kill Pontiac and Saturn, and Rebdage the cars Holden, and Opel???? This move would make more sense to me. Instead of just keeping the Pontiac brand that no one cares about (besides you old farts re-living your teen years in your old wide track with Tri power , and your not buying new Pontiacs anyhow. No one is that enthusiastic about Saturn either. I do like them Opel’s though.

We will be sure to get you the official released photos when they are released.

Toyota FT-HS Concept Design Critique.

February 05th, 2007 | Category: Concept Car, Design

This Toyota concept was the most exciting, disappointing, interesting, unusual, etc. I went from loving it to hating it to loving it. I first saw sketches released of this vehicle and thought, WOW now this is a revolution, then after the sketches came the release of the photo’s……… and now I was saying ummmmm, well I wasn’t saying anything. I was wondering how this was possible. How did an Anime character turn into a car?
